Raíces Nuevas supports Garifuna youth by advocating for the tools and resources they need to navigate challenges, embrace their cultural identity, and build independent, fulfilling lives within a supportive community.
What We Do
Garifuna immigrants face a variety of challenges upon arriving in the U.S., including isolation, language barriers, and a lack of resources. Raíces Nuevas is dedicated to bridging these gaps by connecting migrants to essential resources, while also celebrating and preserving Garifuna culture.
We provide Garifuna youth ages 10-21 with resources, community, and culture.
